Midnight needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Save a Life...Retrieve a Friend!
The only thing dark left in this boys life is his coat. Black as midnight, there is no question how he got his name. Midnight lived chained to a home 24/7 all his short life. After concerned citizens rallied animal control to step in, the owner turned him loose, chain and all. Just days later Midnight was found hanging from a nearby fence where he had gotten the chain he was dragging caught trying to get away.
Luckily, Good Samaritan's came to his aid, freeing him and getting him to safety, and providing urgent veterinary care. He was frail, weak, emaciated, and yes terrified. But with love and care, it was immediately clear that this boy was merely a gem in the rough. With some good food and all the basic veterinary care, Midnight embraced the hope we gave him and has never looked back. This boy sure had a rough start in life, but that hasn't deterred him one bit from being a wonderful companion and throwing that nasty, dark past behind him. In fact the only real thing hanging around from his former life is some pesky heartworms. No fear...TSBR and his sponsors are getting those treated and in just another month this handsome sweet boy will be good as new and ready for his very own family. Midnight is perfect in his crate, a welcome addition to the house, and loves his foster brother and sisters of all shapes and sizes. He is a quick learner and wants to please, and picks up new request quickly. Midnight needs a home where he will NEVER be chained, tied, or left alone in a yard or lot again and we promised him that is just what hes going to get! We have included some pictures from Midnights past along with his ride to freedom picture. Please check back for updated pictures from his warm, cozy, fun-filled foster home!
