Howdy - I’m Rocco

I am a two-year-old AKC English Lab. Did I mention BIG and HANDSOME???

My two favorite things in the world are hiking (so many smells!) and playing fetch in the pool. But now that I'm growing up a bit, I am just as content to lay at your feet while you work or rest on my cot. I am an excellent car rider, so you can take me on soo many adventures. 

I was professionally obedience trained as a young puppy and can be fully trusted off-leash (once I trust you of course!). 

I can recognize the following commands verbally or through hand signals from up to 50 yards: sit, down, heel, and recall. But again, you’ll have to put in the time and effort to learn my style and skills and make sure they stay stellar!

My typical day starts with a morning walk/jog, followed by breakfast and a day of lounging around the house. My evening consists of a walk, jog, or swim, followed by dinner, potty time, and bed. I'm finally growing out of my super active puppy phase, but that doesn't mean that I'm Ultra low energy. 

My human and I have worked very hard to teach me manners, socialize me, and adopt an active lifestyle - some would say I'm the perfect partner!

My Ideal home (a guy can hope can’t he!):

I’m at my happiest when I’m active. Sure chillin with the peeps is awesome but I want to see the world too! My new human should be willing to walk me twice a day at a minimum (and if you have access to water and a bumper, even better!). 

While I am professionally trained and everyone says I’m a very obedient dog, rumor has it I can be stubborn (it’s not my fault if you don’t  act like the leader.)

I love kiddos and have been perfect with them - Up until now I even had four of my own as part of my pack ages 5 to 16 years old. So a family home will suit me just fine. 

All in all, I’d be happy anywhere that I can be active and have the loving attention of a human or two!
