5/9/2014 Update

This is one handsome, sweet, spotted boy. Popeye, loves his crate, is friendly and wiggly, but is quiet and gentle too. Popeye came with what was likely once a beautiful coat, matted so heavily he struggled to move.

So this week our friends at The Pampered Pooch in Denton, TX gave Popeye a makeover and got rid of all his mats and ick. (Before and after pictures are posted below)  Just look at his beautiful coloring and you can easily see how in no time he will again have a stunning coat to go with his personality! And best of all Popeye knew instantly that he was handsome and clean again and it shows in his interactions with everyone.

Popeye Is currently being treated for heartworms and is otherwise healthy and the Veterinarians anticipate no long-term effects following treatment.

Popeye will be ready to start meeting prospective adopters on June 5.
